No message is ever sent. Email and SMS delivery are out of scope for this prototype (SPEC §12). These controls exist so the shape of the setting is reviewable, not because there is a mailer behind them.

These preferences are not saved. Reloading the page puts them back to their defaults — the persisted state layer covers the subscription, the shortlist and your filters, and deliberately does not pretend to store settings for a system that does not exist.
